One of the great strengths of the EQA agency and its process is the quality of the examiners it uses for district reviews.
Coordinators serve double duty in the EQA process and act as both an examiner and a team leader. Their role is to ensure the successful completion of on-site reviews. The majority of the EQA coordinators are full-time employees of the agency.
As with all other examiners, they were selected based on their extensive district experience. Prior to working with EQA, most coordinators held senior positions in Massachusetts public schools. These examiners have varied backgrounds in urban, rural, regional, or vocational settings. Once selected by EQA, coordinators attend rigorous training workshops. In fact, coordinators participate in ongoing training sessions and are heavily involved in the development of the agency's practices and procedures. Most coordinators complete approximately 10 reviews per year.
This page serves as a portal for coordinators to access useful materials and resources to facilitate their on-site reviews.
